Rebecca Aneloski is a dance artist, choreographer, film director, and educator currently based in Salt Lake City, Utah. She holds a BFA in Ballet from Friends University and an MFA in Modern Dance from The University of Utah (The U). During her Master’s career, she taught for both the ballet and modern programs and received the L. Scott Marsh Mentorship Award after her thesis research on failure’s potential to transform the choreographic process.

As a dance performer, Rebecca has worked with world-renowned choreographers Gustavo Ramiez Sansano, Banning Bouldin, Alysa Pires, Alice Klock, Wen Wei Wang, Navarra Novy-Williams, Brendan Duggan, and Katie Scherman, among others.

Since 2016, Aneloski’s choreography has been showcased by Repertory Dance Theater (RDT), New Century Dance Project, Oquirrh West Project, Breaking Ground Dance Festival, BRINE, Weber State University, LINK, ACDA’s Gala Selection (OR), and Wasatch Contemporary Dance Company. In 2018, Aneloski founded And Artists as a sanctuary movement space, gathering freelance dance artists in Salt Lake City to research movement and work in a creative process. As And Artists, she has directed and choreographed three evening-length works in the Salt Lake City community and in 2019, won the Professional and Emerging Choreographer Award from NCDP.

In April 2020, Aneloski curated and directed, Deliquesce, an anthology dance film by And Artists and Blank Space. This film brought 18 artists from around the nation together, to continue creating art when live performances were not possible, uniting otherwise isolated artists to work together during a global pandemic.
